Dancers are placed in classes either by age or the appropriate grade level after being assessed by our teaching faculty in order for them to unlock their potential.

              We are proud to offer examinations with the ISTD in the following genres:

 

Imperial ISTD Ballet:

The foundation of all dance, we pride ourselves on having all of our pupils study Ballet, developing the technique & core strength required to help them excel in all genres.

ISTD Tap:

A Rhythmical, exciting syllabus helping to build & develop musicality and a building up an extensive tap dance vocabulary.

ISTD Modern:

An expressive style of dance incorporating jazz technique, developing core strength that is current & engaging. 
 

Alongside our Syllabus examination classes we are proud to be an Acrobatic Arts Module 2 Certified Studio  with 3 teachers holding the higher level of qualification.

Acro & Tumbling:

It is important to acknowledge that Acro Dance differs from gymnastics, as it is exactly that - a form of dance. Pupils are trained to be able to perform their tricks safely on a hard floor (ready for the stage) through safe progressions developing technique, Strength & flexibility.   Through the Acrobatic Arts Syllabi and our teachers extensive knowledge, we have a very good reputation for the level of talent in this genre within our school.  The Acro Arts Syllabus is certified by the world famous 'Cirque De Soleil' and Acro skills are highly sought after in the Professional World.

 

Street Dance/Commercial:

A style of dance made increasingly popular by the likes of 'Diversity' & other famous dance troupes.  The Commercial style embraces whatever is currently being featured in the dance world in music videos etc.  Generally performed to current music, we pride ourselves on ensuring our lessons are age appropriate & fun for all pupils.

Musical Theatre:

Our Musical Theatre classes are extremely popular and cover 'triple threat training' - singing, dancing & acting. Pupils are taught singing & acting techniques and develop confidence through ensemble performance work & training.  These classes features hit songs from a whole variety of Musical Theatre Shows, from School of Rock to The Sound of Music we cover it all, ensuring a well rounded training from day one.

Aerial Hoop:

​

We are proud to offer classes in this increasingly popular circus skill for dancers aged 8+.  The performing arts industry is fast developing, and the demand for aerial skills is becoming higher & higher.  We currently have 2 Aerial hoops with the appropriate safety equipment, this skill is highly sought after.

 

Drama:

One of the three main disciplines that is vital if you wish to become a performer.  Our acting classes utilise improvisation, audition techniques, accent work, monologue & script work in order to help develop our performers and build confidence. Pupils have the opportunity to take examinations with LAMDA & IDTA, which are both recognised examination boards.  The skills learnt in these classes transfer into great life skills regardless of whether they wish to pursue acting as a career or just take classes for fun.
